It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 12th edition of Galatasaray Euroforum, which will be held on 2-7 May 2012, in Istanbul, Turkey.

Galatasaray Euroforum is a Model European Union Conference organized by a non-profit student association (ILDC) that aims to promote the European Union in Turkey. Euroforum conveys the simulation of the main bodies of the European Union, such as European Council, Council of the European Union, European Parliament and European Economic and Social Council. During the simulation, which will be held in English and French, participants will take over the roles of heads of governments, foreign ministers, Eurocrats and NGO representatives.

Euroforum offers its participants, with the contribution of experts, the opportunity to learn the functioning of the European Union, and in the meantime enhancing personal and diplomatic skills (public speaking, negotiation, strategy elaboration, debating and compromise). The participants will tackle current and pressing international issues from a European perspective while engaging in various debates circled around the theme ‘Changing Global Balances: Towards a New Europe’’

The beautiful city of Istanbul sets the ideal scenery for this student organization due its historical significance as well as its dynamic and modern spirit. You will have the chance to discover Istanbul during the social events that our team carefully prepares for you.
